The Instituto de Medicina Molecular João Lobo Antunes (iMM) is one of the leading research institutes in life sciences and health sciences in Portugal, having achieved a level of excellence that enables it to be competitive and internationally recognized. Founded in 2002, iMM has created a unique environment to foster ideas and projects in basic, clinical, and translational biomedical research, in collaboration with the most relevant economic and social stakeholders, with economic and social impact. This has been made possible through a strategy that promotes scientific excellence anchored in the best scientific and technical talent, world-class scientific and technological infrastructure, and intensive knowledge transfer activities to society. The actions of iMM fully align with the nature, guiding principles, and objectives of Technology and Innovation Centers (CTI), as can be confirmed by the results presented in 2022.
