CoLAB BIOREF (Collaborative Laboratory for the Biorefineries) is a technology transfer interface organization consisting of 20 associates: private companies and academic partners. CoLAB BIOREF brings innovation to the market, identifying industrial needs in biorefining technologies and boosting the deployment of advanced biorefineries, to improve the competitiveness of the sector, and to contribute to a low carbon economy. To this end, CoLAB BIOREF promotes a market-oriented R&I Agenda (TRL 4-7) based on three strategic domains: 1) Bioenergy, 2) Renewable gases and 3) Sustainable bioeconomy. It also participates in an international network comprised of leading research centres and companies, providing services of excellence in the field of biorefineries.
