24 October, digital format

The Portuguese Quality Institute (IPQ) will be holding a training session for Secretaries and Chairs of Technical Committees on national standardisation on 24 October, in digital format.

The aim of this event is for the new secretaries/presidents of the national standardisation technical committees to learn about their attributions, competences, rights and duties within the scope of the standardisation activity. The aim is that at the end of the course, participants will be able to carry out their new responsibilities and attributions, particularly with regard to their role, the use of available tools and resources and soft skills.

The programme for this session will include:

• The first part is an introduction to standardisation, to welcome and integrate newcomers to these roles;
• Part 2 will deal with attributions, competences, rights and duties;
• Finally, they will answer any questions about the tools and resources available for standardisation work.

TC 169 actively participates in the work of Technical Commission 389 of CEN – European Committee for Standardisation and with the different working groups of ISO – International Organisation for Standardisation, namely through Technical Commission 279.

The ANI’s role is to manage, secretariat and monitor Technical Commission 169, chaired by Dr. Isabel Caetano, and notify the IPQ of any information in order to ensure the regular functioning of the normative activity in these matters.

Participation is free, but registration is compulsory.
