TEST AND EXPERIMENTATION FACILITIES | TEST BEDS

Test Beds are infrastructures and equipment for providing testing and experimentation services for products and services of SMEs and Startups, either in physical or virtual spaces.

NATIONAL TEST BEDS NETWORK

The National Network of Test Beds is part of component 16 of the PRR, Companies 4.0, specifically under the investment for Digital Transition of Companies.

There are 3 categories of Test Beds:

Excellence

The Excellence Test Bed category includes those characterized by high experimentation and testing capacity, requiring the development of at least 60 pilot products.

Leader

The Leader Test Bed category includes those operated by entities with innovation practices. For this category, each Test Bed must develop a minimum of 40 pilot products.

Excellence

The Excellence Test Bed category includes those characterized by high experimentation and testing capacity, requiring the development of at least 60 pilot products.

Europe Excellence

Excellence Test Beds can apply to join the European Network of Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEF), integrating a European consortium and potentially accessing additional funding to scale the Test Bed to the European level. This is supported by the Digital Europe Program (DEP), as defined by the program’s terms, with a minimum of 100 pilot products.
