BUSINESS CAPITALIZATION AND INNOVATION
Component 5 – Capitalisation and Business Innovation, part of the Resilience Dimension of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), aims to increase the competitiveness and resilience of the economy based on Research and Development (R&D), innovation, diversification and specialisation of the production structure.
This component includes the Mobilising Agendas and Alliances for Business Innovation initiative, which aims to accelerate the structural transformation of the Portuguese economy, improving its specialisation profile through the formation of solid and structuring consortia that guarantee the development, diversification and specialisation of national value chains, pursuing objective goals in terms of exports, qualified employment and investment in R&D.
The collaborative projects supported by these initiatives can thus be leveraged:
- The development of new products and services with greater added value, with a view to increasing export potential.
- The hiring of qualified human resources, in association with increased investment by companies in R&D activities.
- Attracting FDI with the potential to transform Portugal’s productive fabric.
- The effective green transition towards environmental sustainability.
The National Innovation Agency (ANI) participates in the Coordination Committee of the Mobilising Agendas for Business Innovation (CCA) (Order no. 9350/2021).
