INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
BRAZIL
In June 2024, the second Embrapii mission to Portugal was hosted, consisting of leaders from all newly created competence centers, with a view to exchanging best practices. In addition to ANI and IAPMEI, visits were made to CoLABs and CTIs aligned with the areas of the Competence Centers, namely: Vector B2B, SmartEnergyLab, CEIIA S2L, INL, SmartFood, Vasco da Gama, DTx e Vortex.
In November 2023, ANI accompanied the CEO of Embrapii on a visit to the CoLABs Smart Energy Lab, Colab + Atlantico e Colab Vector B2B with a view to strengthening relations with that entity under the Embrapii initiative for competence centers.
NETHERLANDS
The Frisian Design Factory is positioned as an organic unit of NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, a Dutch higher education institution with a leading role in practice-based research and knowledge implementation in the local business context.
SINGAPORE
In April 2024, following the mission to Singapore, ANI, together with Startup Portugal, AICEP, and the Singapore-Portugal Innovation Alliance, organized the visits of two delegations from the SG Innovate Innovation Agency to Portugal. The first delegation was led by CEO Jui Lim, and the second by Talent Director Juliana Lim. The SG Innovate delegations visited: Taguspark, Tagus Park Incubator, Quantum Nova, Lockem, Immersive Studios, bac3gel, IST Tagus Park, INESC-ID, Critical Techworks e Smart energy Lab.
SGInnovate’s strategy includes talent development, investment management, and building the deep tech startup ecosystem and community Deep Tech em Singapura. A empresa The company focuses its activities on two main areas—Human Capital and Investment Capital. It was created to help develop new technological solutions and scientific research in Singapore.
In 2024, ANI was in Singapore from March 4th to 9th as part of a joint delegation with FCT, Startup Portugal, and AICEP to establish bilateral cooperation protocols with counterpart entities or complementary organizations, where it visited entities such as Enterprise Singapore, IPOS, SG Innovate, NTU’s Centre for 3D Printing, and NTUitive.
Previously, in 2018, ANI was already in this Asian country to promote bilateral cooperation in innovation, business research, technological development, and technology transfer. At the invitation of IPOS (Intellectual Property Office of Singapore), ANI participated in the IP Week@SG 2018.
This mission stemmed from the protocol signed in 2017 between Singapore’s Intellectual Property Office (IPOS) and ANI in the areas of innovation, R&D, and funding for innovative projects. This protocol was signed in Singapore with the goal of identifying opportunities for developing Research and Innovation projects by consortia of Portuguese and Singaporean entities, with the perspective of launching these partnerships into global markets.
FINLAND
DEMOLA GLOBAL is positioned as an international facilitator of co-creation projects between companies, universities, and public organizations. In Portugal, it is primarily referenced in the northern region.
ARENE represents 25 Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences and operates as a network promoter of co-partnerships between applied science higher education institutions in international contexts and experts with European influence.
