MONITORING ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
H2
ANI aims to promote a better understanding of the specificities involved in the knowledge transfer process within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In this context, and to complement the efforts of knowledge valorization, policies and publications on the subject have been developed.ANI has created a guidebook for the technology transfer process, covering the identification, evaluation, and protection of technologies, management of intellectual property (IP) rights, business development, and negotiation of commercial agreements. This manual is designed to support Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs), professors, researchers, students, and other innovation stakeholders in their efforts to transfer knowledge from academia to industry/economy and society. It provides a detailed and practical view of the various phases of the technology transfer process and the stakeholders involved.
Additionally, ANI collects and analyzes annual data on the technology transfer activities of the TTO Network. The data gathered is used to identify best practices, areas for improvement, and to provide evidence-based recommendations for policymaking. These findings are published as working papers and academic publications, intended to inform TTOs, policymakers, and other stakeholders involved in the technology transfer ecosystem.
By annually collecting and analyzing data and providing access to this information, ANI supports the TTO Network and all stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem in their efforts to strengthen the commercialization of academic research and drive innovation forward.
