This unit’s mission is to implement national strategic initiatives aligned with the mission to catalyze and enhance innovation in Portugal, ensuring the coordination, agility, and operational efficiency of all activities supporting innovation.
MAIN INITIATIVES UNDERWAY
TEST AND EXPERIMENTATION FACILITIES | TEST BEDS
Test Beds are infrastructures and equipment for providing testing and experimentation services for the products and services of SMEs and Startups, in a physical or virtual space.
DIGITAL INNOVATION HUBS | DIH
The Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) are structures that aim to centralize a set of services to support companies’ digital transition, under more accessible conditions, focusing this process on 3 disruptive technologies: AI, HPC and Cybersecurity.
TECHNOLOGY FREE ZONES
Technology Free Zones (TFAs) consist of physical environments, geographically located, in a real or near-real environment, used for testing and experimenting with innovative technology-based processes, with direct and continuous monitoring by national regulatory authorities and other competent bodies.
NCC-EN – NATIONAL CYBERSECURITY COORDINATION CENTER
The NCC-PT plays a crucial role in the national and European cybersecurity landscape in that it actively contributes to increasing the visibility of national cybersecurity products and services within the European ecosystem, thus promoting greater European digital sovereignty.
