SKALE2CT
The overall goal of SKALE2CT is to empower public and intermediary organizations to improve or implement new instruments and policies that promote the expansion of resources and services for the acceleration of startups and scale-ups, promoting the growth of micro and SMEs, and consequently increasing competitiveness. It focuses on emerging sectors such as health (biotechnology and biosciences) and digital (Artificial Intelligence, big data,…). The consortium will support and empower public organizations and business acceleration service providers by sharing good European practices, paying special attention to three areas that are challenges for the scalability of micro and SMEs:
– Executive leadership (skills, mentoring)
– Access to infrastructures (prototyping, accelerators, incubators, co-living…)
– Talent management (talent attraction and retention tools)
i3-4-BLUE-GROWTH
The project i3-4-BLUE-GROWTH aims to enable less developed European regions to strengthen the capacities of their blue economy ecosystems in identifying interregional innovation projects, promoting the development of a sustainable and intelligent blue economy. The project focuses on two value chains with high potential for innovation and growth: 1) sustainable seafood, aquaculture and valorization of blue resources; and 2) renewable maritime energy and decarbonization of the maritime sector. Identifying and mapping opportunities for innovative and sustainable investments in Deep Tech technologies in these two value chains will be at the center of the project’s activities.
i3-4-BLUE-GROWTH involves 10 partners from eight different countries, promoting interregional collaboration and capacity building in six less developed regions, including the Autonomous Region of the Azores, and the Central and Northern regions of Portugal, exploring synergies and opportunities for collaboration with the main European blue economy clusters.

SMART FINANCE
The project SMART FINANCE – Intelligent financing for SMEs and entrepreneurs in the SUDOE region is a European project funded by the European Commission under the INTERREG SUDOE program, involving 8 regional players from 3 Member States in the southwest of the European Union. The aim of the project is to create the first transnational platform for access to and management of funding, offering companies financing alternatives, personalized advice, accompaniment and training.
HELIUM
The HELIUM project – Health Innovation Experimental Landscape through Policy Improvement – is a European project funded by the European Commission, which is part of the INTERREG Europe program and involves 9 regional actors from 5 EU Member States. The project aims to promote an experimental innovation environment in health through the optimization of public policies.
S34GROWTH
The S34Growth project – Enhancing Policies Through Inter-Regional Cooperation: New Industrial Value Chains for Growth, is a European project funded by the European Commission, which is part of the INTERREG Europe program and involves 11 regional players from 10 European regions in 8 EU Member States. The program aims to develop and improve public instruments and policies that contribute to the implementation of new forms of industrial innovation.
KTForce
The KTForce project produced a series of strategic recommendations applied to the design of future innovation policies in Europe, by benchmarking Knowledge Transfer policies and practices that can contribute to more dynamic and competitive European regions.
Innova-FI
The Innova-FI project is a European project funded by the European Commission under the INTERREG Europe program, with eight partner institutions across Europe. This consortium aims to stimulate European investment in innovation. The aim is to promote the use of Financial Instruments as a tool for implementing cohesion policy. ANI is currently Lead Partner of this project.

B-Blue
The Mediterranean Sea is a biodiversity hotspot with enormous potential for using organisms, their products and infrastructure to produce new products and processes for food, feed, health and wellness, energy and other sectors. The emerging blue biotechnology sector can unlock its innovation potential and contribute to economic growth. The B-Blue project – Building the blue biotechnology community in the Mediterranean aims to define a transnational community and jointly build blue biotechnology implementation strategies across the Mediterranean region. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
IMPACT_RIS3T
The National Innovation Agency, together with the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN), and the Northern Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDRN), are taking part in a European cooperation project approved under the INTERREG VA Spain – Portugal Cooperation Program (POCTEP), called “IMPACT_RIS3T“, aimed at implementing cross-border cooperation actions for the Cross-Border Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3T) in the Northern Portugal – Galicia Euroregion.
The main activities to be carried out by the project are:
- Implementation, management and governance of RIS3T in the Euroregion;
- Creation of an R&D&I observatory in the Euroregion;
- Training, information and dissemination of RIS3T among the Euroregion’s stakeholders;
- Boosting the Euroregion’s innovation ecosystem.

MONITORIS3
MONITORIS3 is a project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the INTERREG Europe program, with the aim of facilitating the implementation of smart specialization strategies through the exchange of experiences and good practices in monitoring policy instruments associated with smart specialization.
