R&D TAX INCENTIVES

SIFIDE – The System of Tax Incentives for Business R&D aims to increase the competitiveness of companies by supporting their Research and Development efforts through deductions in corporate income tax (IRC) for R&D expenses.

JOINT R&D UNITS IN CO-PROMOTION

The R&D Technology Incentive System aims to stimulate business investment in R&D, supporting projects for creating and developing an “R&D Joint Unit in Co-promotion” involving qualified human resources from various co-promoters, including non-business entities from the R&D&I system.

SECTORAL STANDARDS FOR INNOVATION – ONS

Sectoral standardization for innovation refers to the process of developing and implementing specific standards governing the use and application of research, development, and new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

THE EUROPEAN CHIPS ACT

The proposed regulation aims to strengthen the European semiconductor ecosystem, increase the security of the EU’s semiconductor supply, and develop new markets for cutting-edge European technologies.

SKALE2CT

The overall goal of SKALE2CT is to empower public and intermediary organizations to improve or implement new instruments and policies that promote the expansion of resources and acceleration services for startups and scale-ups, boosting the growth of micro and SMEs, and consequently increasing competitiveness. It particularly addresses emerging sectors such as health (biotechnology and biosciences) and digital (Artificial Intelligence, big data,…).

Portugal 2030

Portugal 2030 materializes the Partnership Agreement established between Portugal and the European Commission, setting the major strategic objectives for the application, between 2021 and 2027, of the total amount of €23 billion in projects that stimulate and develop the Portuguese economy between 2021 and 2027.
