SACCCT – PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY

This notice supports operations aimed at registering intellectual and industrial property rights in the form of patents, utility models, designs, or models through national, European, and international routes.

Eligible for support are operations submitted under the modality of individual applications for the “Protection of Intellectual and Industrial Property” operation type, with support directed to the following protection requests:

a) Definitive national patent applications, utility models, and design or model registrations submitted to the Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial (INPI);

b) Patent, utility model, or design/model applications filed abroad via direct routes with the respective national administrations, whether or not claiming Portuguese priority;

c) European patent applications submitted to INPI (whether or not claiming priority from a Portuguese application) or to the European Patent Organization, provided they claim priority from a Portuguese patent or utility model application;

d) Entry into the national phases of an international patent application (PCT) filed with INPI (whether or not claiming priority from a Portuguese application) or with the European Patent Organization and/or the World Intellectual Property Organization, provided they claim priority from a Portuguese patent or utility model application;

e) Community design or model applications filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

This notice applies to all NUTS II regions of mainland Portugal (North, Center, Lisbon, Alentejo, and Algarve). The operation’s location corresponds to the region where the investment will be made.

The support provided is in the form of a non-repayable grant.

The application period starts on 28/06/2024 and ends on 30/12/2024, with analysis and decision-making carried out in the following phases:

• Phase 1: 27/09/2024 (6 PM)
• Phase 2: 30/12/2024 (6 PM)
