The aim of the APEX – Combating Pollution in Explosive Atmospheres project was to create a vessel capable of operating efficiently and completely safely in the fight against pollution in various high-risk scenarios. Equipped with the best technology and exceptional structural strength, the vessel guarantees that the levels of exposure of crew members to the various physical and chemical agents are within the limits of what is internationally recommended for working in explosive environments (ATEX certification).

Challenges Addressed:

- Tackling a gap in the market for suitable vessels duly prepared for carrying out work in high-risk scenarios, with ATEX certification (products for operating in explosive atmospheres).

Following the conclusion of APEX, a number of benefits were achieved, such as:
- Making the first ATEX-certified vessel available on the national and international market.
