The 2024 Mapping Process of National Technological Organisations and Infrastructures has been launched. This is a process of updating the entities mapped by ANI in similar exercises in 2016 and 2020. The forms must be completed by 30 June.
This exercise aims firstly to identify the players involved in the co-creation and transfer of knowledge between the scientific and technological system and the business community, as well as to identify the technological infrastructures that enable them to develop their activities in the national innovation system.
Estimated contributions of these mapping exercises:
- Promoting closer ties between organisations that develop technological solutions and the business community;
- Increasing knowledge about the infrastructures and other resources that the Organisations have at their disposal;
- Encouraging greater cooperation between technological organisations with access to different technological infrastructures;
- Supporting national and regional public policy strategies and instruments;
- Promoting greater transparency and access to information about these actors, as well as encouraging greater knowledge production.
This mapping, in 2024, includes a methodological update that differentiates between Technology Organisations and Technology Infrastructures. The aim is to identify Technology Organisations of different types with a wide range of activities and results. The aim is also to identify all the Technological Infrastructures (considered as facilities, equipment or other resources/skills) that support the activity of the Organisations with or in favour of the business fabric.
This exercise also focuses on identifying the investments planned for the 2024-2027 period by the Technology Organisations.
The current study characterises the realities of technological infrastructures with applications in all the NUTS II regions of mainland Portugal (North, Centre, Lisbon Metropolitan Area, Alentejo and Algarve), as well as the Autonomous Region of the Azores and the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
