The first results of the European Commission’s new Horizon Europe pilot program Women TechEU have been announced. The program aims to promote women-led tech entrepreneurship and fund 50 tech startups led by women. Among the selected companies are two Portuguese startups: Metatissue Biosolutions and Something in Hands: Investigação Científica, both operating in the healthcare sector. These companies were chosen as part of the European Innovation Ecosystems program. In Portugal, the projects are supported by the National Innovation Agency (ANI) through the PERIN network.
