Portuguese entrepreneur Débora Andreia Campelo Campos, CEO of AgroGrIN Tech, is one of the nine finalists for the European Prize for Women Innovators 2025, in the EIT Women Leadership category. The prize, promoted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the European Innovation Council (EIC), honours women who drive positive changes in society and the environment through innovative solutions.

AgroGrIN Tech has developed a pioneering process that transforms industrial fruit waste into functional food ingredients, using green chemistry principles for the sustainable extraction of enzymes and vitamins. This innovative approach promotes the circular economy and a more sustainable production model.

In addition to this nomination, the start-up has already won other European accolades, including first prize in the EIT Food Accelerator Network, with funding of 50,000 euros, and selection for the Women TechEU programme, which guaranteed it support of 75,000 euros to strengthen its position in the market.

This international recognition reinforces female leadership in innovation in Portugal, inspiring new generations of entrepreneurs in the technological and scientific sector.
