The European Commission is organizing an online information session on the New European Bauhaus Investment Guidelines (NEB Investment Guidelines) on November 6th at 12:00 noon in mainland Portugal.
The European Commission has published a New European Bauhaus investment guide, a tool designed to help public and private investors align their projects with the values of the New European Bauhaus (NEB): sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion. It is a document that aims to explain the how and why of aligning built environment projects with NEB values.
This guide provides investors and others with advice, good practices and a general framework on how to put NEB into practice. The aim is to enable the promotion and increase of investments in public space, buildings and neighborhoods, transforming the built environment, while maintaining a commitment to NEB values.
The guide is divided into 2 main components:
- General advice to help investors, developers and project owners better understand what NEB is and how it is specifically linked to the different phases and aspects of investment and project development. This demonstrates why NEB values and principles should be integrated and what the added value is for investors and society;
- Concrete recommendations to support the design of high-quality projects in line with NEB values and principles. The recommendations also demonstrate how this can bring immediate benefits to investors, as well as identifying difficulties and ways to mitigate them.
Find out more at this information session. The session is free but registration is required by November 4 here.
