March 25, 26 and 27 | Online format
The Regional Policy Dialogue Roundtables, organized as part of the I3-4-Blue_Growth project, which is coordinated by ANI, bring together European experts to discuss the social acceptance of innovations, simplification and harmonization of legislation, as well as funding mechanisms for startups and SMEs in the blue economy sector at EU level. It is hoped that these discussions, through the sharing of good practices, will help to strengthen investment in interregional innovation projects in the blue economy sector in the EU.
Each session will address a strategic issue:
- March 25 (11:00am – 12:00am) – Simplification and harmonization of European Union legislation on activities, products and technologies linked to the blue economy, with a focus on sustainable fishing, aquaculture and the enhancement of marine bio-resources (register here);
- March 26 (11:00am – 12:00am) – Strategies to increase awareness and social acceptance of blue technologies and attract investment to the sector, with an emphasis on maritime decarbonization and renewable energies (register here);
- March 27 (11:00am – 12:00am) – Increasing and improving funding mechanisms to support startups and SMEs developing new business models and value chains from marine bio-resources or marine renewable energies and maritime decarbonization activities, including transnational investments, especially in the proof-of-concept and scale-up phases (register here).
