EIT award highlights women entrepreneurs
Portuguese entrepreneur Débora Campos, founder and CEO of AgroGrIN Tech, was awarded first prize in the EIT Women Leadership category of the EU Prize for Women Innovators 2025. The announcement was made on Wednesday during the European Innovation Council (EIC) Summit in Brussels.
This prize, awarded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the EIC, highlights women entrepreneurs whose work has a significant impact on innovation and sustainable development. Débora Campos was recognised for her contribution to the valorisation of agro-industrial waste, through a technology that makes it possible to transform fruit waste into functional food ingredients, promoting a more efficient and ecological production model.
With this recognition, the founder of AgroGrIN Tech joins a group of leading women in European innovation, reinforcing the role of science and technology in creating sustainable solutions for the food industry.
