The scope of Seapower’s activities is aligned with the development of competencies in the Maritime and Blue Economy, specifically in the areas of decarbonization, digitalization of the economy, innovative materials, autonomous ship design (naval drones), ocean sensing, 3D printing applied to the Naval, Offshore, and Energy industries. With Seapower’s growth in the medium term, its activities are projected to expand into other areas of the Blue Economy, such as aquaculture, coastal changes, and industrial decarbonization.
The main lines of action are based on the development of research platforms in the relevant domains: 1) Technical-scientific and laboratory capacity, supported by a framework of R&D focused on applied research for uses and activities within the Blue Economy; 2) The development of a strong connection with the business sector, leveraged by investments induced by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), with the Blue Economy as its core focus.
