Type of Support and Geographic Coverage
Support for Demonstrator projects in individual mode, aligned with the priority domains of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (RIS3). These projects must be based on completed and successful R&D activities, aiming for the industrial validation of knowledge associated with new technologies that can be applied to products, processes, or systems. The goal is to demonstrate, to a specialized audience under real-world conditions, the economic advantages and disseminate the new technology intended for diffusion. Projects in clinical/biomedical research, in advanced development stages, including clinical trials Phases I and/or II, are included.
Support is available for operations involving advanced technologies and pilot lines that, starting from completed R&D activities with successful results, aim to demonstrate, to a specialized audience in real-world settings, the economic and technical advantages of new technological solutions that are not sufficiently validated for commercial use.
Operations cannot include activities classified as Industrial Research that represent an investment cost exceeding 25% of the total proposed investment.
This notice applies to the NUTS II regions of mainland Portugal (North, Center, Lisbon, Alentejo, and Algarve). The project’s location corresponds to the region where the investment will be made.
Form of Support
The support provided is in the form of a non-repayable grant.

Application Period
The application period starts on 28/06/2024, with analysis and decision-making carried out according to the following phases:
- Phase 1: 30/09/2024 (6 PM) – for all applications, with or without aid request registration under Notice No. 01/RPA/2022
- Phase 2: 30/12/2024 (6 PM) – for new applications
Aid Request Registrations (RPA No. 01/RPA/2022 for R&D) can be used in any R&D notice where this possibility is foreseen. These RPAs can only be used for a single application.
