Applications until August 21
Applications are now open for the 7th edition of the CEN-CENELEC “Standards+Innovation” Awards, an initiative that recognizes the contribution of research, innovation, and education to the development of technical standardization at the European level.
Launched in 2019, the Standards+Innovation Awards aim to recognize the involvement of researchers, innovators, educators, and professionals who actively integrate their results into normative documents.
As in previous editions, the awards include the following categories:
- S+I Award #1: European Research Project – European research and innovation projects with an impact on standardization.
- S+I Award #2: Individual Researcher/Innovator – Researchers or innovators whose work has been incorporated into normative documents.
- S+I Award #3: Young Researcher – Young researchers who have integrated standardization into their academic work.
The 2025 edition also features two new categories, already widely anticipated, which reinforce the commitment to technical collaboration and the future of education:
- S+I Award #4: Technical Body Officer – Heads of technical bodies who have collaborated with researchers/innovators.
- S+I Award #5: Education – Initiatives that promote standardization education with local impact and potential for replication.
Applications must be submitted by national technical committees, using the nomination form available online, and sent by email to Sílvia Gentil (sgentil@ipq.pt) by August 21.
ANI, as a member of the National Standardization Bodies (NSBs), supports this initiative and encourages the participation of national entities that contribute to bringing research and innovation closer to European standardization processes.
