Applications open until 29 August
ANI, through the Born from Knowledge (BfK) programme, is once again partnering with the World Summit Awards (WSA) for the 2023 edition. Applications for the national edition are open until 29 August.
This is a worldwide competition with editions in different countries and focuses on local digital innovation with a social impact. The selection of national projects is led by APDC.
WSA Portugal is a competition open to all national digital projects in eight categories: Government and Citizen Involvement; Health and Wellbeing; Education and Learning; Environment and Green Energy; Culture and Tourism; Smart Neighbourhoods and Urbanisation; Business and Commerce; Inclusion and Empowerment.
The best national science and technology-based project will be honoured by ANI with the “Tree of Knowledge” trophy and a cash prize of 2,500 euros.
In 2022, as part of the national WSA selection, ANI awarded the Born from Knowledge (BfK) prize to CRIAM, a medical start-up that has developed an automatic and portable diagnostic platform using machine learning and computer vision.
Born from Knowledge is a programme that aims to promote a culture of valuing scientific and technological knowledge in Portugal, distinguishing and rewarding good practices and success stories.
