Negócios, BPI and Claranet, in partnership with ANI, COTEC Portugal and NOVA SBE, are organising the 2nd edition of the National Innovation Award (PNI). Its aim is to boost the culture of innovation and reward entrepreneurial projects that contribute to innovation and digital transformation in Portugal.

The second edition kicks off with new competition categories, more prizes and a podcast dedicated to innovation, which will be available this month (March).

For the various categories, public or private organisations with head offices or establishments in Portugal are eligible, with direct benefits for Portuguese society. We are looking for innovative initiatives, products or services developed by organisations and with demonstrable results. Applications will be open until 15 April.

The jury is made up of renowned professionals in the various categories and will be responsible for evaluating the applications according to the established criteria, namely durability, demonstrable impacts, expected benefits and impacts for the future and their innovative nature. The awards ceremony is scheduled for June.

The conference launching the PNI took place at the Port of Leixões Cruise Terminal in January, under the theme “Innovation in times of economic slowdown – stopping is not an option” and included the participation of several Portuguese organisations in various conferences and debates.
