The Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation (MECI) is preparing a National Position on the upcoming Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10), which will succeed Horizon Europe during the 2028-2034 period.

To this end, a preliminary version has been drafted with support from ANI, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB), and the Portuguese Space Agency. This document considers the recent Letta, Draghi, and Manuel Heitor reports, as well as position papers already published by other countries, associations, and organizations.

Based on this initial draft, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation has launched a survey to gather feedback on each section of the document, as well as additional insights regarding the future Framework Programme.
