September 16 and 17 | The Square – Brussels and online
The European Commission has opened registration for the 2025 edition of the European Research & Innovation (R&I) Days, which will take place on September 16 and 17, in a hybrid format, from Brussels.
This sixth edition of the event will bring together policymakers, researchers, business leaders, and representatives of the European innovation ecosystem to discuss the role of research and innovation in Europe’s competitiveness, sustainability, and industrial leadership, with a direct impact on the European Union’s main priorities.
This year’s program takes place against the backdrop of discussions on the EU’s next multiannual budget and key policy strategies, including the Strategy for Startups and Scaleups, the European Strategy for Life Sciences, the AI Strategy in Science, European Innovation, and the European Research Area (ERA).
The event will feature an opening speech by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and a speech by Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva. There will also be a session on the future ERA Act and the “Choose Europe for Science” initiative.
Participation is free and open to anyone interested in shaping the future of research and innovation in Europe. Registration can be done online through the event’s official website.
