The European Commission has launched the second call for EU Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors. This initiative aims to empower passionate young leaders in sustainable circular bioeconomy to raise awareness and inspire change.
This is an opportunity to make an impact, connect with local communities and decision-makers, develop bioeconomy skills, take part in exclusive workshops and EU events, and collaborate with other ambassadors and young world leaders.
The call is open to EU residents aged between 18 and 30 who are great communicators and are ready to participate on social media and in public to promote the EU bioeconomy.
The first group of ambassadors, made up of 15 young people from 12 EU member states in 2022, included the national participation of Rita Escórcio, a PhD student in Molecular Biology at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
