The funding notice for Demonstrator Projects in Co-promotion Mode under the Portugal 2030 program has been published. This funding applies to all NUTS II regions in mainland Portugal (North, Center, Lisbon, Alentejo, and Algarve).
Demonstrator projects in co-promotion mode are supported. These projects, led by companies and executed in co-promotion between companies or between companies and non-corporate entities of the Research and Innovation System (ENESII), must align with the priority domains of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (RIS3). They should be based on successfully concluded R&D activities and aim for the industrial validation of knowledge associated with new technologies. These technologies should demonstrate their economic advantages in real-world settings to specialized audiences, promoting the new technology intended for dissemination. Projects in the clinical/biomedical research area, in more advanced development stages involving Phase I and/or Phase II clinical trials, are also included. More information is available here.
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Small Mid Cap companies, of any nature and legal form, that meet the eligibility requirements set out in Article 14 of Decree-Law No. 20-A/2023 of March 22 (which defines the general application regime of Portugal 2030 and respective Funds), and Article 46 of the Specific Regulation for Innovation and Digital Transition (REITD), are invited to apply.
Non-corporate entities of the research and innovation system (ENESII), including those in the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira, are also eligible as co-promoters for operations funded by the Innovation and Digital Transition Program.
The application period is open until December 30, 2024, with analysis and decisions made in two phases. The application form will be available on July 12.
