Portugal registers success rate of 9.68% in European competition
The results of the EIC Transition 2024 competition, which closed in September, have been released. Of the 413 proposals submitted globally, 31 of them national, 40 projects were funded. The national applicants are mainly innovative companies and research institutions supported by higher education bodies.
At national level, three projects with national entities obtained funding, representing 7.5% of the projects approved. The 5 national entities raised a total of €2.72M (achieving a proposal success rate of 9.68% – in line with the European average).
The highlight is the “ZeroCarb” project, led by Hycarb Lda, in collaboration with Capwatt Lda and the University of Porto. Other funded projects include “MEDiCS”, with the participation of I3S, and “TIMNano”, developed by the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon.
