The German Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND) has launched the Funke call, targeting innovators aiming to combat the realistic forgeries made possible by technological advancements—such as AI-generated audio, images, and videos that are nearly indistinguishable from reality.
The proposal is to develop a prototype that reliably detects counterfeit images of various multimedia contents and/or protects existing infrastructures from the use of counterfeits through preventive measures. The Funke call runs for a period of 13 months, during which SPRIND provides extensive and individual support.
A jury of renowned experts will support SPRIND in evaluating the applications and selecting up to 14 teams to take part. In the end, at least three different use cases will be demonstrated, such as social networks, news portals, videoconferencing systems.
On October 2, you can take part in a webinar where the Funke challenge and the respective conditions of participation will be presented, sign up here.
Applications are open until October 18th. Find out more here.
