The European Ocean Days, organized for the first time by the European Commission, will take place during the week of March 4–8, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium.
This event will feature a series of activities addressing European maritime themes, including:
The EU Mission for Oceans and Waters, Future priorities for Europe’s seas, Blue innovation and investment opportunities, Ocean literacy initiatives.
The event aims to engage a broad range of stakeholders involved in EU and international maritime policies.

- Monday, March 4: Matchmaking event for EU Mission projects, Mission Charter signatories, and similar initiatives (by invitation only).
- Tuesday, March 5: Mission Ocean & Waters Forum.
- Wednesday, March 6: Where Next for Europe’s Seas?
- Thursday, March 7: BlueInvest Day.
- Friday, March 8: Ocean Literacy in Action.
On March 6, the European Commission will host a poster exhibition featuring EU-funded projects. Eligible projects must align with one or more of the event’s four themes: global drivers, economy, society, and innovation.
Projects can originate from programs such as Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, EMFAF, LIFE+, ERDF, Interreg, Erasmus+, and others.
Posters should be A2-sized and highlight flagship actions or future opportunities for upscaling by EU Member States.
