Document guides consortia in implementing financial support for third parties

The European Commission recently launched the Good Practice Guide for the implementation of Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP), known as Cascade Funding. This mechanism allows consortia supported by Horizon Europe to tender for smaller projects on behalf of the European Commission, thus increasing the impact and reach of European funding.

Cascade Funding can be used whenever it is provided for in the text of the funding topic and must respect the general rules of Horizon Europe. This format has been adopted as a simplified way of supporting start-ups, SMEs and other entities interested in developing R&D and innovation activities.
