Contributions until November 6 and 10 | Online format
The European Commission has launched two public consultations on the future Biotech Act and Circular Economy Act, which are expected to be adopted in 2026. The aim is to gather input from citizens, organizations, and interested groups, promoting a participatory process in defining these strategic initiatives for the European Union.
The Biotech Act, part of the European Strategy for Life Sciences, aims to strengthen Europe’s competitive position in the biotechnology sector. Proposed measures include regulatory simplification, easier access to financing, expansion of production capacity, integration of data and artificial intelligence, and acceleration of time to market, especially for startups.
The public consultation is available here, with contributions being accepted until November 10.
The Circular Economy Act aims to accelerate the transition to a more circular economy, strengthening the EU’s economic security, resilience, competitiveness, and decarbonization. The Circular Economy Act also aims to contribute to the objectives set out in the Competitiveness Compass and the Clean Industrial Deal, namely to make the EU a world leader in the circular economy by 2030.
The public consultation is available here, with contributions being accepted until November 6.
