The main objective of the Eureka XECS Cluster is to accelerate the pace of sustainable industrial innovation in the Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) community. The resulting R&D projects will generate high levels of social and economic impact for all the participants involved.
Call 4 opens on 4 June and the XECS Matchmaking Event will take place in Hamburg on 15 October. It is open to SMEs, large companies, Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs) and academia.
XECS is focused on sustainable digital transformation. Guided by the ECS Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, prepared by experts brought together by the 3 industry associations AENEAS, EPoSS and Inside, Call 4 addresses the entire Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) value chain, taking advantage of the broad dynamic innovation ecosystem stimulated by these industry associations.
The XECS Cluster Matchmaking event will be held at the Hotel Hafen, 9 Seewartenstraße, 20459, Hamburg, Germany, on 15 October 2024, 10:00-17:00 CEST.

The session will feature:
- Pitch session: dedicated to presenting Xecs project ideas (maximum 5 minutes) or discovering new ideas in the plenary session. Applications must be sent to xecs@aeneas-office.org by 17 September 2024. Template available here. To take part in the pitch session, it is compulsory to present a poster.
- Poster session: presentation of the project idea in poster format. Submissions for posters should be sent to xecs@aeneas-office.org by 17 September 2024. Template available
- Presentation of current developments and/or impact of ongoing Penta/Euripides 2 or XECS projects. As inscrições para devem ser enviadas para xecs@aeneas-office.org até 17 de setembro de 2024. Template available
- SME Expertise Pitch: presentation of your SME’s expertise during a 5-minute pitch. Applications must be sent to xecs@aeneas-office.org by 17 September 2024. Template available
- Recorded presentations by public authorities: in addition to the live presentations by public authorities at the event, it is possible to record a 5-minute presentation (in .mp4 format) of national funding opportunities and eligibility criteria. The videos will be made available on the XECS YouTube channel and in the dedicated funding section on the XECS website. You must send it by 27 September 2024 to Nadja Rohrbach.
