EMPOWOMEN SEEKS WOMEN-LED DEEP-TECH COMPANIES FOR MENTORSHIP AND FUNDING

The EmpoWomen program offers acceleration and mentorship opportunities for deep-tech technology companies from Widening countries, including Portugal, led by women entrepreneurs.

Funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe framework, the EmpoWomen project aims to overcome the barriers faced by women in the RDI domain and foster equality in deep-tech entrepreneurship. Running from 2024 to 2025, the initiative provides a total of €1.125 million in non-repayable funding, prizes, and services for 25 selected startups.

Each selected startup could receive up to EUR 45,000 in funding and access to a 6-month programme, consisting of a support service dedicated to acceleration and preparation for the investment provided by SWG; webinars and events; specialist training and mentoring by Business Angels; and demo days and direct links with venture capital investors.

A Sploro, a TechUkraine, a Business Angels Europe e a Startup Wise Guys, in association with 8 startup associations, will run this innovating program.
