EmpoWomen offers an acceleration and mentorship program for deep-tech companies led by women in Widening countries, including Portugal.

Funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe, the EmpoWomen project aims to overcome barriers faced by women in the R&D&I domain and foster equality in deep-tech entrepreneurship.

The initiative spans two years (2024-2025) and provides non-repayable funding totaling €1.125 million, along with prizes and services for 25 selected companies.

Each selected startup can receive up to €45,000 in funding and access to a 6-month program. This program includes dedicated support for acceleration and investment preparation provided by SWG, webinars and events, specialized training, mentorship from Business Angels, demo days, and direct connections with venture capital investors.
