The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced the official launch of the call for tenders for the creation of a new Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) in the Water, Maritime and Marine Sectors and Ecosystems.
The new KIC aims to respond to global challenges related to water, including scarcity, droughts, floods, degradation of aquatic ecosystems and the development of a circular and sustainable blue economy. This approach seeks to strengthen education, skills development and the commercialization of innovative technologies that promote sustainability in the freshwater and marine sectors.
In addition, the EIT has made available a detailed timetable and supporting documentation, including the evaluation criteria and an innovation model that will guide the implementation of this KIC.
