The EIT HEI (Higher Education Institutions) Initiative has just launched its 2024 call, aiming to fund up to 42 innovative projects with a total duration of 25 months and an overall budget of €55 million.
This call is part of the 2021-2027 Strategic Innovation Agenda and is aimed at higher education institutions (HEIs) that wish to strengthen their innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities with business partners. To enhance the innovation capacity of HEIs in Europe, the initiative is divided into two strands:
- Development of innovation and entrepreneurship capacity in HEIs in general;
- Promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship in HEIs for the development of Deep Tech technologies.
To guide applicants through the process, a series of informational sessions will be held, providing details about the application process to make it more straightforward. The dates can be consulted here.
Interested consortia have until December 12 to submit their applications. Register on the Networking and matchmaking platform to search for partners here. The selected projects will be announced in April 2025.
