EIE PROGRAMME: EMPOWOMEN SELECTS 3 PORTUGUESE DEEPTECH COMPANIES FOR ACCELERATION PROGRAMME

The EmpoWomen program, designed to accelerate and mentor deeptech companies from Widening countries, such as Portugal, and led by women, has announced the results of its first call.

Out of 11 startups selected, 3 are Portuguese, making Portugal the second country with the most companies chosen. The selected startups are: IPLEXMED, GoTech, and The Newsroom.

Each selected startup will receive:
Up to €45,000 in funding.
Access to a 6-month program offering acceleration services and investment preparation support.

Program Overview:
Duration: 2 years (2024–2025).
Total funding: €1.125 million in non-refundable grants, prizes, and services for 25 selected companies. Current status: 11 companies selected, with further opportunities available in upcoming calls.
