INESC Microsistemas e Nanotecnologias (INESC MN) is a private, non-profit Research and Development Institute created in 2002. Our mission is focused on:
– Research & Devlopment in strategic technological areas of micro- and nanotechnologies: magnetoresistive sensors & spintronics, MEMS, organic electronics, multimode photonics, wide bandgap semiconductors and materials simulation & optimization. Moreover, we focus on the application of these technologies to electronic, biological and biomedical devices;
– Advanced training for the next generation of young scientists and engineers in micro and nanofabrication, devices and microsystems;
– Creation of IP and transfer of key enabling technology to global industries. We create innovative solutions directed to the areas of robotics, automotive, food, environmental and health monitoring.
