EIT System Shifters aims to drive a transformative shift in Europe’s food system to encourage sustainable and health-conscious eating habits. The program seeks to address the challenges and solutions around shifting food consumption patterns, focusing on eating more plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, and legumes, and less meat, especially red and processed meat. This shift is essential for both human health and the environment.
The initiative is an opportunity for participants to engage in systems leadership, learning how to trigger change beyond their organisational roles.
EIT Food collaborates with experts in collective leadership and systems change, such as Leaderscope and the Global Systems Institute. Participants will gain hands-on experience in initiating meaningful system-wide shifts, addressing challenges in food production and consumption, and fostering tipping points for lasting impact. The program includes both online and in-person sessions, with the next in-person meeting scheduled for 25-26 February 2025 in Brussels or the UK.
Fees for corporate participants are €1000 per session, while participants from small businesses, social enterprises, or government pay €250 per session, covering all costs except travel and overnight stays.
