COLLABORATIVE LABORATORIES EXCEED 50 MILLION INVESTMENT

The Collaborative Laboratories, or colab, as they are called, have been strengthening their participation in competitive programs, having increased 2.5 times the funding of this type in 2021. Funding already exceeds 50 million investment. The number was released this Tuesday, December 6, in Faro, where until tomorrow takes place the 3rd meeting of colab.

Colab develops research and innovation in areas critical to society, around complex challenges, together with 295 partner entities, namely 173 companies and 122 non-business entities, including higher education institutions, research centres, associations and local partners.

According to data from the National Innovation Agency (ANI), which monitors and monitors the activity of colab, companies now represent 58.6% of members, 12.6% more than in 2020, the result of a strengthening of their representation in these structures. Of these, 91 are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
