Event in Brussels highlighted innovation strategies and technological standardisation

The European Commission (EC) hosted the event “Driving EU Prosperity: The Future of Knowledge Valorisation” in Brussels, bringing together experts to discuss European strategies for knowledge valorisation and strengthening the innovation ecosystem. Representing ANI were Helena Costa and Sílvia Garcia, an ANI board member.

Helena Costa participated in the panel “Streamlining Innovation: Effective Management of Standards and IP”, emphasizing the role of standardisation and intellectual property management as key drivers of innovation in areas such as quantum computing. She highlighted how standards facilitate the transition from research to practical applications.

During the closing panel, “The Future of Knowledge Valorisation”, Sílvia Garcia joined European leaders to explore how knowledge valorisation can create economic and social impact. The discussion focused on fostering cross-sector collaboration and promoting sustainable innovation.

The event reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to transforming knowledge into a driver of prosperity, emphasizing ethical practices, sustainability, and long-term impact.
