ANI LAUNCHES CAPACITY-BUILDING PROGRAM FOR TECHNOLOGICAL INFRASTRUCTURES

8.Nov.2022

Registration open until November 15

ANI is organizing a capacity-building program for the interface system, aiming to enhance responsiveness among “pivot entities” involved in knowledge distribution and circulation. The program promotes open innovation by training human resources from technological infrastructures, such as Technology and Innovation Centers (CTIs), CoLABs, and other R&D valorization infrastructures.

The program includes six hybrid theoretical and practical workshops. During the practical component, online participants will observe but not actively participate, as real-world cases will be used to illustrate methodologies. Each training day comprises two sessions, each lasting three hours, scheduled as follows:

November 17 | University of Minho – Auditorium B1/Building 2
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: From Research to Innovation: How and When?
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Technology Mapping and Assessment of Technological Potential

November 29 | University of Coimbra – Civil Engineering Department (Polo 2)
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Key Factors in Collaborative or Consortium Projects
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Evaluating Technology Value and Commercialization Strategies

December 15 | Auditorium of the Alentejo Science and Technology Park
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Determining the Fair Market Value of Different Technologies
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Contract Typologies in Transfer Processes: WHO-GETS-WHAT

Participants will gain the following competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge of innovation processes, methodologies for technology valorization, and commercialization potential assessment.
  • Identification of intellectual property (IP) factors critical to collaborative projects within the national scientific and technological network and with businesses.
  • Methodologies to determine the fair market value of technologies.
  • Structuring the main steps in technology transfer processes.

The sessions are free but require registration:

Register here by November 15. (Each infrastructure may register up to two participants).

The Capacity-Building Program for Technological Infrastructures is part of the Collective Actions Support System – Scientific and Technological Knowledge Transfer, TECH4INNOV. It is co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, under the Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization (COMPETE 2020) of Portugal 2020.
