ANI attends Web Summit 2025, highlighting technology-based knowledge and innovation

ANI will once again be present at Web Summit 2025, Europe’s largest technology and innovation event, taking place in Lisbon. On the 11th and 12th of November, ANI will participate in several sessions at Stand Portugal, in partnership with Startup Portugal and other entities from the national innovation ecosystem, promoting the connection between scientific knowledge and the global market.

From knowledge to innovation

On the 11th of November, at 2:20 p.m., Stand Portugal (Pavilion 1, E150) will host the session ‘Turning Academic Research into Market Innovation,’ a conversation about how Portugal is strengthening the link between universities and industry—supporting Proof of Concept projects, promoting entrepreneurship, and helping research-based innovations reach the market.
The conversation will feature Sofia Bravo (ANI) and Pedro Sacramento (Startup Portugal), Rita Tomé (University of Lisbon) and will be moderated by Miguel Magalhães (Next Big Idea).

Later, at 3:20 p.m., at the Banco Português de Fomento stand (Pavilion 1, E113), ANI will participate in the talk ‘Tech Forward: Investing in the future of world-changing ideas,’ focused on investing in transformative technological ideas.
The panel brings together José Antão (ANI), Alexandre Santos (Startup Portugal) and Alexandra Vilela (COMPETE), moderated by Helena Maio (Portugal Ventures).

Deep tech in the spotlight

On 12th November, at 11:20 a.m., ANI returns to Stand Portugal (Pavilion 1, E150) for the session ‘Empowering Deep Tech Startups: From Idea to Global Scale,’ which will discuss how Portugal is driving deep tech innovation through an integrated ecosystem that supports startups at all stages—from initial research and validation to growth and internationalisation.

This session will feature José Antão (ANI) and Miguel Aguiar (Startup Portugal), moderated by Miguel Magalhães (Next Big Idea).

ANI’s participation in Web Summit reinforces its commitment to promoting knowledge, investment in innovation and the growth of Portuguese deep tech start-ups, placing Portugal at the centre of the global technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
