On March 19, the Technical Committee (TC) of the National Strategy for Intelligent Specialization (ENEI 2030) met with the aim of presenting the work developed and underway by the Executive Committee (EC) of ENEI 2030, as well as discussing and preparing the next steps within the framework of the 2024 Activity Plan.
The agenda included the presentation of the “Preliminary Support Study for ENEI 2030 Coordination,” developed by IPPS-ISCTE, which garnered significant attention for its implications for Smart Specialization.
The Technical Committee, which, in addition to ANI, which it coordinates, also includes FCT, IAPMEI, AICEP, AD&C, CNCTI, the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores, as well as the CCDRs of North, Center, Lisbon and Tagus Valley, Alentejo, and Algarve, may also involve the participation, as observers, of the Managing Authorities of European funds, the Mission Structure Recover Portugal (PRR), or the Environmental Fund, when the nature of the matter justifies it.
The Technical Committee of ENEI 2030 is tasked with providing opinions on the plan and activity report proposed by the Executive Committee, as well as advising and supporting it regarding thematic interventions, mechanisms for coordination with Innovation, Science, and Industrial policies, and the operationalization of territorial policies, within the context of the multi-level coordination foreseen in the Portugal 2030 Partnership Agreement.
