The call for applications for the 2024 CEN-CENELEC Standards + Innovation Awards is now open, marking the sixth edition of this initiative. ONS.ANI is associated with this initiative as the coordinating body of Technical Committee 169 for Research, Development, and Innovation.

Launched by CEN-CENELEC in 2019, the Standards + Innovation Awards. The aim to recognize the contribution of Research and Innovation to standardization and celebrate the achievements of researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs in this field. Nominations are submitted by the national members of CEN-CENELEC from the 34 EU Member States.

The award categories are as follows:

S+I Award #1: European research project

This award recognizes a European research and innovation project that has successfully contributed to standardization.

S+I Award #2: Individual researcher/innovator

This award honors researchers or innovators who have successfully integrated research/innovation and standardization by incorporating the development of normative documents into innovation processes or by producing research outcomes that have been incorporated into standardization.

S+I Award #3: Young researcher

This award acknowledges young researchers who have included standardization activities in their academic theses, doctoral dissertations, or other university research projects.

National technical committees wishing to submit applications for these awards must complete the relevant application template and send it to Sílvia Gentil (sgentil@ipq.pt) by June 25, 2024.
