Applications open until May 15th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

The ECHOES <\/em>(European Cloud for Heritage OpEn Science<\/em>) project, responsible for the governance and architecture of the European Cloud<\/em> for Cultural Heritage, has announced the launch of its first call for data set submissions. The aim is to encourage cultural institutions to make data available that can be used for research, education and virtual exhibitions. <\/p>\n\n

Up to 12 projects will be selected, each with funding of up to 60,000 euros. Cultural institutions from countries participating in Horizon Europe can apply, either individually or as leaders of consortia. Proposals must identify the target community, the expected benefits and describe how they intend to use the Cultural Heritage Cloud. <\/p>\n\n

Applications are open until May 15, 2025, through a platform that will be available from April. ECHOES<\/em>, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the CNRS, has 51 European partners, including ICOM Portugal<\/a>, and aims to create a collaborative digital infrastructure for the cultural heritage sector. <\/p>\n\n
