March 17th | RAIZ – Forest and Paper Research Institute, Aveiro<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANI, in partnership with RAIZ – Instituto de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o da Floresta e do Papel<\/a> (Forest and Paper Research Institute), is organizing an Information Session on the 2025 Tender under the Circular Bio-based Europe<\/em> Partnership (CBE JU)<\/a> on March 17. The event will have the collaboration of the Planning, Policy and General Administration Office (GPP) and the National Institute for Agricultural and Veterinary Research (INIAV), which, like ANI, represent Portugal in the States Representative Group<\/em> (SRG) of the CBE JU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CBE JU, one of the 9 institutionalized partnerships of Horizon Europe (HE), aims to fund projects that promote circular and competitive bio-industries in Europe. This program has an overall budget of around 2 billion euros from the European Union (through Horizon Europe Cluster6) and the Bio-based Industries Consortium<\/em> (BIC).<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sess\u00e3o contar\u00e1 com a presen\u00e7a de Oliver Zobell<\/em> (CBE JU Programme Officer & Call Coordinator<\/em>), que apresentar\u00e1 as novidades e oportunidades de financiamento para 2025, as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de participa\u00e7\u00e3o e avalia\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como orienta\u00e7\u00f5es para a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o de uma proposta bem-sucedida, com base em experi\u00eancias anteriores. Samuele Ambrosetti <\/em>(BIC Programming & Innovation<\/em> Manager) tamb\u00e9m estar\u00e1 presente para explorar o contexto e objetivos dos t\u00f3picos propostos para o concurso de 2025. Al\u00e9m disso, o evento incluir\u00e1 uma visita t\u00e9cnica ao RAIZ, membro associado do BIC, e ser\u00e1 uma oportunidade para o networking<\/em> entre stakeholders<\/em> nacionais. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is aimed at companies and organizations along the bio-based value chains, including SMEs, universities, research centers and collaborative laboratories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HORIZON-JU-CBE<\/em>-2025 Call<\/a>, with 13 topics and an overall budget of 165 M\u20ac, will be open between April 4 and September 17, 2025. Applications can be submitted on the Funding & Tenders Portal<\/em><\/a> from April 4. An Info Day & Brokerage Event<\/em><\/a> will be organized in Brussels on April 3, in a hybrid format, with the possibility to ask questions and interact with other potential applicants on the CBE JU networking<\/em> platform<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Portugal, which has enjoyed growing success under the Horizon 2020 BBI JU, has already raised around \u20ac13.5 million from the 23 projects selected for funding in the 3 CBE JU calls launched under Horizon Europe (2022-2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the 42 national participants in the CBE JU <\/em>projects, we highlight two entities – one academic (IST-ID) and one business (A4F ALGAFUEL SA) – both with two participations, one of them as coordinator. We also highlight MC SONAE, which is part of the 1st Flagship with Portuguese involvement, as well as the Food4Sustainability <\/a>Collaborative Laboratories. <\/strong>and GreenCoLAB<\/a>, whose implementation of their respective R&I agendas is monitored by ANI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Circular Bio-based Europe<\/em> Partnership (CBE JU) is monitored in Portugal directly by ANI, which is part of the<\/em> States Representative Group (SRG)<\/em><\/a>, a CBE JU advisory body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
