November 22, 30, and December 2, hybrid format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The European Commission, in coordination with Member States, is organizing three workshops<\/em> dedicated to the European Chips Act<\/em><\/a>. These sessions aim to outline and develop proposals for SMEs, discuss the next steps in establishing semiconductor competence centers, and foster capacity building in microelectronics and semiconductors across Europe.Os eventos decorrem nos dias 22 de novembro, das 9h30 \u00e0s 12h30, em formato digital, dia 30 de novembro, das 10h \u00e0s 16h, em Vars\u00f3via e em formato digital, e dia 2 de dezembro, em formato h\u00edbrido, das 9h \u00e0s 12h30, na Rue de la Loi 51, 1\u00ba andar, sala 45, no edif\u00edcio Copernicus, em Bruxelas.<\/p>\n\n

The first session, on November 22, will focus on the funding opportunities of the design platform<\/em>, a virtual environment to be shared throughout the European Union, accessible, non-discriminatory, and transparent, encouraging broad collaboration among users and key ecosystem actors and reinforcing Europe’s design capacity. Additionally, the opportunities provided by the Chips Fund<\/em> will be explored. <\/p>\n\n

The Chips Fund<\/em> will provide financial support to start-ups and SMEs through products launched by the European Innovation Council and the EIB Group.<\/p>\n\n

Participation is in digital format and limited, requiring mandatory registration.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

The second session, on November 30, organized by the Polish Ministry of Economic Development, Labor and Technology, and the European Commission, will focus on the creation of semiconductor competence centers. These centers are crucial elements of the Chips for Europe Initiative<\/em>, which will support SMEs with semiconductor technology and contribute to workforce training. <\/p>\n\n

Participation will be both in-person and digital, requiring mandatory registration.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

The last session, on December 2, will focus on microelectronics and semiconductor skills. This event is organized by SEMI<\/a> and the European Commission and will discuss industry needs, limitations, and best practices to boost semiconductor skills development in Europe. <\/p>\n\n

After an initial plenary session, participants will be divided into 3 or 4 groups to discuss various topics, such as facilitating mobility, upskilling<\/em> and reskilling<\/em> in microelectronics, and anticipating future skill needs and competencies.<\/p>\n\n

Participation is in-person and partially in digital format, requiring mandatory registration.<\/p>\n\n
