Two Portuguese projects were recognised at the New European Bauhaus (NEB)<\/a> Awards 2024 ceremony, held on 12 April in Brussels as part of this year\u2019s NEB Festival.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

\u201cHydroscape Lisbon”<\/a><\/strong>Recognition: Honorable Mention<\/strong> in the New European Bauhaus Rising Stars<\/em> strand, <\/strong>Under the category \u201cReconnecting with Nature\u201d. Prize: \u20ac10,000.This project envisions an urban park and water treatment centre celebrating Lisbon\u2019s urban water resources. It aims to create a space that fosters and promotes a deeper connection with water. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cUrban MYCOskin<\/a><\/strong>\u201d Recognition<\/strong>: Winner in the New European Bauhaus Rising Stars<\/em> strand, <\/strong>Under the category \u201cNeed for a long-term life-cycle-based industrial ecosystem\u201d. Prize: \u20ac15,000.Description: Focused on Lisbon\u2019s Pra\u00e7a do Martim Moniz. This project integrates mycelium\u2014a natural biomaterial derived from fungi\u2014into the design and transformation of urban spaces, bridging the built environment with sustainable and innovative materials. <\/p>\n\n
